Policies & Procedures

Skill Supply Ltd. is a responsible organisation and employer and as such has policies and procedures in place to protect its staff and customers. Copies of our policies and certificates are available on request.

Employees

Anyone who provides training services with Skill Supply are considered employees and are insured as such. They will be suitably experienced and qualified to undertake the role they are placed in. We ask all employees to provide an enhanced DBS number (less than 3 years old) or to have a DBS check performed. We keep the status of the DBS on file.

DBS Checks

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) merged to become the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). CRB checks are now called DBS checks. All our staff have undergone CRB and now DBS checks and their numbers kept on file. Should you wish to conduct a status check on our numbers contact us to discuss your needs.

Safeguarding

Skill Supply have an active safeguarding policy and all staff undergo an appropriate level of safeguarding training. All staff are interviewed and observed in their training to ensure safer recruitment.

Data Protection

Skill Supply only retains information it needs to operate. It will not share information with other parties. Where we use names and photographs this will be through prior agreement with the individuals or organisations. Please contact us to discuss any specific data protection concerns or queries you may have

Insurance

Skill Supply Limited have Public Liability Insurance of £5,000,000 and Employer Liability insurance of £10,000,000 to provide indemnity against legal liability for injury to third parties/employees or loss of or damage to third party property arising from the company’s negligence. We also have Professional Liability Insurance for our First Aid courses.

Health & Safety

Skill Supply has a current Health & Safety policy based on guidance from the Health and Safety Executive. All our activities are risk assessed and every effort is made to minimise risk. Based on some of the activities we conduct we can never claim to be risk free. Any new activities are risk-assessed and our policies are updated on a rolling basis as well as added to when the need arises. All staff are made aware of our policies and have read each risk assessment as required. We encourage the reporting of accidents or problems and log all incidents if they occur and have whistle-blowing procedures in place. Skill Supply Ltd is committed to the highest standards of openness, probity and accountability.

First Aid Cover

At any Skill Supply training we will ensure there is suitable first aid cover for our activities. Dominic and Liz are both qualified and have First Aid at Work qualifications from the Red Cross. They are both First Aid trainers and assessors and Skill Supply is an approved centre for delivery of Qualsafe’s Ofqual regulated qualifications.

Internet, Email and Social Media Policy

Skill Supply Ltd. have strict policy on the use of Internet, Email and Social Media. All staff are expected to comply with this policy at all times to protect the privacy, confidentiality, and interests of our company and our services, employees, partners, customers, and competitors.

Equality

Skill Supply Ltd. recognises that discrimination and victimisation is unacceptable. Our staff will not discriminate directly or indirectly, or harass customers or clients because of age, disability, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation in the provision of the Company’s goods and services.
