Team Member Skills
This programme is developed around the Institute of Leadership and Management requirements to develop a good understanding of theories underpinning teamwork. As with all our programmes there is an equal measure of practical activities to develop the skills required to be effective team members.
The programme identifies and links to working in teams at school, university and in employment. Students gain a lot of experience that they can also use to widen their horizons and enhance their opportunities.
The programme can be adapted to be relevant for Years 7 through to 13 and beyond and makes a great addition to a PSHCE curriculum. Skill Supply Certification or ILM Qualifications can also be provided depending on meeting specific criteria.
Our courses are adaptable to your needs and cover:
- Understanding Teams and Teamwork
- Feedback – Giving & Receiving (constructive collaboration)
- Importance of communication in a team
- Communication Skills
- Performance reviews
- Dealing with conflict
- Practical exercises
- Reflective thinking
Our Courses are designed with the age and experience of the students in mind and can start with basic theory and exercises up to courses that include some self-study and lead to Level 3 qualifications. Our facilitators use varied techniques and incorporate as much hands-on active learning as possible, usually indoors and outdoors.
We tailor courses to your needs using our experience. Some examples of how our courses can be used are as follows:
- Years 7-12 PHSCE
One day courses or programmes - Transition courses
Years 6/7 or 11/12 - Years 10-13
ILM-based programmes of work that can lead to a level 2 or 3 qualification - Gifted and Talented pupils
Extension work schemes, help students reach their potential in general projects or in particular subjects using teamwork
